Alexis Miranda arrived to San Francisco from Miami, Florida in 1985 with the hope of becoming an entertainer. Through her ability to do just that she has been able to raise thousands of dollars for various non-profit organizations, which include AIDS Emergency Fund, The Larkin Street Youth Center, The Godfather Service Fund, Continuum Projecto Contra El Sida, Latino AIDS Project, The Asian AIDS Project, The Brother Network and countless others where her presence, talent and organization has made an enormous difference in the lives of so many.
Alexis has also been aggressively involved with the San Francisco Grand Ducal Council for over the last twenty years. Before becoming Empress 33 of The Imperial Founding Mother Court, The Imperial Council of San Francisco; Alexis reigned twice as the Royal Crown Princess with the Ducal Council, then was elected by the community in 1998 as Empress.
Alexis has given countless hours of service and dedication to the Tenderloin Tessie Organization, providing supervision, hands on service, as well as fundraising for the holiday gift program.
Alexis has truly made her mark on the community years before becoming Empress of San Francisco and continues to inspire change, hope and compassion for the community. Alexis consistently brings together all facets of the community through her charitable work. She welcomes and encourages participation from all the diverse groups showing that we can work together for our common goals.
Alexis continues to believe in the Imperial Court System, supporting not only the San Francisco Imperial Court, but reaches out and is active in many cities, including has been the emcee of Hawaii Coronation for many years. She has always maintained the ability to epitomize good things for those in need. Alexis is not one to hesitate taking on any challenge or difficult task, and puts the community needs at the forefront to accomplish tasks successfully. Having served on the Imperial Council Board of Directors, various terms over the past years, is currently once again an active board member and Sergeant of Arms for the 2015-2016 term.
Alexis has received many accolades over the years, including but not limited to recognitions from City Supervisors as well as State Senators, for her service to the community.
Alexis embraces common moral decencies such as integrity, justice, truthfulness, responsibility and compassion. Respecting and embracing human diversity to improve the lives of those in need through selfless acts. Alexis has assisted in resolving conflicts and she has handled other difficult situations with remarkable patience and admirable tact. In the community she goes out of her way to help people in need by assisting with charity events. She loves people, works hard, and always tries to lift the spirits of those around her.
